The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 错过了几乎一整个北影节，最后赶上这最后一场。迷影故事，其实怎么拍都不会难看。但剧本有点问题，叙事也拖沓。
多年未见竟然没有认出彼此，绷不住阿绷不住……
男主有点Mads Mikkelsen和Liam Neeson的合体。

老山田失手了。本片配不上这个名字。“神”在何处？剧情的“神转折”，抑或是人物的“神”逻辑？
很多人应该不明白淑子的选择吧，正因为这样他们并不相信爱情~

出于这样的感慨，导演才设置了这样一个“妻子”的角色。影片的闪回和幻觉的流畅转场，对人物心理刻画和情绪渲染起到很大作用。尽管茨威格小说的精神世界并不容易改编，
过程中的细节蛮有趣的，但是结尾好像和过程中讲述的不是一个主题，到底是想讲对电影的爱呢还是讲和妻子的感情呢，可能导演自己也还没想明白
可能以前看的时候没有注意，山田洋次的电影竟然如此有纵深感，配合这古老的故事看起来反而有剧场效果，很有复古魅力。
如果你真的觉得让淑子过得很不幸福，那就从现在开始好了呀！

抛开茨威格的原著不谈，还是个挺吃演员表演的戏，男主不得拿个奖吗。
雖然有日本傳統父權主義的影響，但感情表達還是很真摯，感人。
影视民工许多地方都有共鸣（懂自懂🥲）其实反而觉得两段故事的衔接这样做才好，不必批评故事老套幼稚，写的就是那些自我怀疑没有才华的时刻，这也是片子与作者的关系，对于90岁的山田洋次来说，比起精雕细琢，已经更在意快乐看电影本身。
