The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 趁着（心里）还年轻看一看，会心一笑。“花束般的恋爱”大概就是——花开花落自有时，相逢相聚本无意⋯⋯
当庵野秀明不再当谜语人，哈姆雷特也只剩一个答案。关于cp描写，没必要把明日香和龙套的描写归结为爱情，也没必要把真希波与真嗣的描写归结为爱情，存在一定的留白也是庵野的温柔了。留白以外，至少明日香的“我曾喜欢过你”和真嗣的“我也曾喜欢过你”是确实的。如果觉得不好看，请放下自己的自私情绪，再看一次。最后，能够生在见证eva劇終的时代，真好！再见！

楚门的世界，动画版，就这。
之前日本上映的时候很多人吵cp，看完以后我并没有觉得cp有啥好掐的，从我的理解角度来说，确实每个人都是最好的结局了。 谢谢你，庵野秀明。
4:02看完哭成傻逼。以前看EVA因为豪猪理论，因为每个人悲哀的不完整，因为孤独，因为靠近互相伤害，因为爱会产生痛苦，因为懦弱而不敢产生羁绊。没想到EVA会以如此方式结束，结束于新世纪，一个爱而没有伤害的世界。如果老剧场版的补完是接受了痛苦，这次的补完是真正长大了。原来长大是如此温暖。有一天我也会长大。
“纪录片”，唤起了好多好的不好的回忆。所有的不成熟不稳定在那个年纪都是正常的每年每天都在成长在变化，守住最宝贵的东西不被改变不被压垮才是最重要的，总有熬过去的时候。可惜大家都是在经历后才变成熟。成熟很没意思。

啊，前面看的好甜，两个如此有话聊的人谈恋爱真是舒服极了～像是日记的形式一样按照时间阶段同时展示男女主各自的心里变化～恋爱和结婚是不同的～两人的感情像流水账一样的呈现给我，经历了相遇相恋与错过～就好像自己也谈了一场短短的恋爱～最后美丽的他里面小变态那对初恋相遇相爱完全就是俩人的复刻～难过极了～街景地图记录了男主过去一人再到结尾过去的两人～心酸又难过又甜蜜舒服～
好正能量的片，年轻时什么大场面没经历过最后还是要穿着西装去上班。
太喜欢结局的处理方式了，跟每一个角色和每一台eva说再见，然后动画逐渐变成线稿，最后变为现实，无比天才！这是庵野秀明为观众献上的，对过去和整个宏大作品的深情告别。当片尾第二首歌：Beautiful world响起，记忆不止回到十年前看第一部新剧场版的时刻，更回到了近二十年前第一次看到福音战士tv版的时刻。漫长的时光最后定格在“剧终”，我们都长大了。
3.8 没有想象中的糟糕，所有人都得到了心灵的补完。真嗣挨个攻略，绫波丽不再是绫波丽，明日香和相田的展开意外却不反感，葛藤和加持留下了14岁的娃，碇源堂也终于拥抱到了唯。最后不得不说，宇多田光，永远滴神。

在鹿儿岛看imax真开心，宇多田光的歌真好听。
其实对非tv党来说很友好，或者说不提所谓滤镜和情怀，这版反而是入坑整个系列的最优选择。弱化了大量隐喻和意向，较为通俗易懂地讲了个哪怕不看分析也至少人人都能看懂的故事。将近三十年过去， 庵野秀明给出的依旧是“和解”的答案。
“你为我做的那盒午餐便当非常好吃，我想当时我喜欢上了你，但我比你更早成长为了一个大人。”
