The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 喜欢视觉风格，尽管除了麦克白夫人更具狠劲也更缜密之外，表达无甚新意（女巫真的是亮点！
表现主义的重现契合麦克白暴君性的一面，可电影的优点也仅限于此。
相比15版麦克白逊色不少，戏剧般的形式感和黑白并没有加分，最重要的内心情感戏也是一带而过，不知道在拍些什么……
本片前面看到的全都在影史早做到过的范围之内 但最后一镜的技术就远超前人条件了 真tm屌

话剧的表现形式，一定需要演员具备良好的体力，感觉说台词都特别累。
远不如1971年的波兰斯基版，甚至不如2015版。科恩也有翻车时。
3.5.文本和形式所追求的极简还是有些冲突，但是光影效果和背景的表现主义感受还是强烈的，虽然可以说确实当下追求的复古不甚必要，但偶尔观看起来还是有值得享受的地方。
布景完美致敬后者，配上极简的构图，让观众的注意力几乎全部集中在演员的表演和台词上，让人感受纯粹舞台剧的魅力。

本身气质过于质朴的科恩嫂演个一嘴“呀呀呀”的女警和杀人放火为女报仇的妈妈太贴切，但太不适合毒辣狠决的麦克白夫人了，且麦氏夫妇确实也是太老迈年高了。前半小时就在这种不断吐槽随时准备切换的心态中过去了，但后来还是坐定认真看完了，所有古堡中的场景，光影对比、建筑线条之美、人与建筑的关系与比例、色彩（精妙的黑白都五色炫目）、构图、音响⋯⋯所有这些手段，都太有古典美了！太迷人了！有点儿像看黑泽明二流作品的感觉，惊异于作者用心至此。但技术只是技术，所以不忍心三星，四星不能再多。
极简的布景与美到极致的摄影，倒是很好的呈现了舞台效果！让这部戏剧味更浓。而简化的剧情也使故事更紧凑 演绎得也很优秀
麦克白其实就是一则寓言故事 跟我们解释了什么是self fulfilling prophecy 算是忠实原著了
极简场景和摄人光影是本片独特气质的最大贡献者，其余部分没什么亮点。空镜最震撼
麦克白和其夫人看起来极其mentally healthy，半点鬼胎也不怀，整部电影看完怕是能得出黑人因为种族歧视才当不上国王的结论
画面和风格很不错，但是情节方面可能只适合不怎么熟悉《麦克白》的观众。
极端风格化的一出棚拍舞台剧。同为A24出品，像是《灯塔》和《绿衣骑士》的集合体。与《灯塔》同为4：3黑白画幅，前者更注重光影而本片更注重构图。弗朗西斯麦克多蒙德的又一个冲奥角色，戏份不够突出不看好。除了视觉上足够享受外与之同等的是观影过程的空虚。
