The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 电影氛围营造的不错，除了个别情节略显女主无脑，总体智商在线。至于电影背后的寓意，也就是非法移民的悲惨遭遇和所处的非人环境，背井离乡，奔着美好的愿望去，结果成为社会的牺牲品。
每次在直播间看电影都没头没尾，需要自己补看头或尾。
我感觉这故事的意思是，有人通过数学公式打开了宽门。但门打开了给魔鬼添了麻烦，魔鬼就让他们有斤无出。有那时间为什么不研究研究窄门呢？
挺好看的，不能总拿温子仁说事儿，要百花齐开，这片质量相当不错了，片源上来就是hdr的，值得表扬。

冷色调不错，节奏拖沓，逻辑混乱，如坐针毡后果然看到了狼牙棒爆头的爽点，杀死宿主，自己替代宿主，也印证了与恶龙缠斗，自身亦变成恶龙。给你5分鼓励
故事是扯蛋的，气氛是不错，演技是可以的，看完是值得的。
三星给最后10几20几分钟才登场的盒子怪～～～怪物造型非常非常克～～～好像血源里的boss，又怪又美又恐怖又膈应～～～像个大蛾子又别扭的扭曲着胳膊腿～反正这个怪物形象戳中我的点～～～但是除此之外真没啥好看的……前半程不停的压抑压抑一惊一乍，最后才开始高能，精神都耗得差不多了才把最精彩的盒子怪放出来～～～结局小加半星，女主黑化其实在预料内，盒子怪吃下祭品的脑袋就算结成羁绊了对吧？所以根本不是房东兄弟说的必须要女性祭品～～～嘿嘿有点讽刺。

悬疑氛围，恐怖气氛还可以，就是前面铺垫太多平淡剧情，导演想要用前半段剧情表达影片的内核和主题，就缺失了影片该有的紧张感。怪物出现真是好评，这个怪物长得可真是好看！
很多西方鬼片的效果只是介紹一個冷門的惡魔，嚇人總是直來直往，數學物理齊上陣也於事無補。
很好看啊，就是译名有点拉低档次。结尾也很出彩。
在全世界恐怖片质量严重下滑的今天，国内不允许拍可能反而给国产恐怖片保留了最后一点体面
女主战胜了自己，才活了下来，最后尝到了箱子怪给的超能力甜头，要黑化了？不过也很有道理，自己可是拥有了一栋楼呀，反正出去也没ID。
逻辑严谨，恐怖氛围营造感异常舒适，可惜全员be。
三星半，可以看看。节奏偏慢，恐怖氛围还行，但魔鬼也就出来一小会。以为电影会用四维空间解释地狱，并没有；以为会用数学公式拯救全家，也没有。所有恐怖片的主人公似乎都缺点警觉性和应对能力，就没有聪明点的主角吗？
故事整体上还是老套路，没什么亮点可言
数学家的阴谋之数数数到迷失自我的一家人 我有点看不懂明明知道那个房子有问题还回家跟丈夫研究 不能带儿子出来再跟丈夫研究怎么救女儿么？妖怪都得觉得女主再试探他的底线给女主点颜色瞧瞧 这下知道谁是家里老大了吧
氛围还是可以的，虽然音效起了很大的功劳，建议除了音效以外，在其他方面下一点功夫会更好，这方面可以学一下《危险警告》。虽然没什么新意，恶魔➕老宅，这一老套组合，但也还可以看看，主角都不算太蠢，没有到让人急躁地步，另外有一些学术夹杂，看起来像那么回事儿，最后采用了坏的结局，摆脱了happy ending 的俗套，还是可以拍拍第二部的。
