The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 非常喜欢这个“30岁生日”的故事，而自己也即将到达这个关卡。而立之年，一地碎渣，甚至看不清未来，这样的人生还有多少意义？
歌舞片不会死。
非常典型的美国电影，前半部分代入感不强，后半部分渐入佳境。乔恩的努力、挣扎、死亡、成功，都归于一个词，无常。最近读关于阿德勒的心理学，很有感触，你的课题只是把每一天过好，每一天的舞蹈跳好，照佛学讲的“无常”二字，眷恋过去，远眺未来，都是愚蠢。

音乐剧人致敬音乐剧人，本片也改编自拉森的音乐剧自传。节奏和情绪演绎（真人与音乐段落跳接）很有趣，可惜没在大屏幕看，但感觉看现场最合适。印象最深是和女友争吵那场戏。

可以把餐厅服务员满腹的烦躁化为直抒胸臆的宣泄，可以创作富有前瞻性的音乐剧讽刺未来人的情感麻木，可以在一地鸡毛的现实里永不言弃地追逐梦想，这就叫大艺术家吧。
我依然被这部电影打动了
选取三十岁前夕的工作坊筹备作为主要事件，它不是真的最后营救，却有效地映照出当时当地戏里戏外的遭遇和心情。跳脱的歌舞和纪实的传记类型，在一种相似的怀旧情愫中完成了合奏。
影片是乔纳森拉尔森的个人传记片，讲述充满音乐剧才华天赋的他是如何在穷困潦倒一文不名的时候坚守梦想最后终于成功的故事，他创作的最成功的音乐剧《吉屋出租》在百老汇上演了13年，可他却在《吉屋出租》出演第一场前因病去世了，可谓是悲剧天才。
生活都被写进剧里，生活本身也自然被掏空。
